Is this right for me?
Although talk therapy definitely has its place, IMT does not require weeks or even years of sessions. IMT works quickly because your subconscious mind has all the answers and that is what we access during the session.

It can be very difficult, if not impossible to make any changes if your subconscious beliefs are not in alignment with what you want to change.
The reason for this is because the subconscious's job is to meet your human needs of love, safety and belonging and if the subconscious thinks that a limiting belief is meeting one of those needs it doesn't matter how much you consciously try and change something, your subconscious will always win out!
An example is smoking. Let's say you want to quit smoking - you know its unhealthy, expensive and becoming more and more anti-social but the reason you started smoking is because you wanted to 'belong' in the group of the 'cool' kids at school when you were a teenager.
20 years later your subconscious belief is still that "smoking makes me belong", even though that just isn't true anymore, the subconscious will hold on to that belief until it learns otherwise, that is where hypnotherapy comes in. It is a way to reach the subconscious and re-purpose that belief into one that works for you now and helps you to stop smoking.
This is a simple example but I'm sure we can all think of times in our life when we tried to make changes and slipped back to our old habits and reverted back to our old, unhealthy, limiting beliefs once the willpower ran out and before the changes could permanently take hold.
